I’m sorry to see Tyler go, but I can’t be too mad. That’s a hell of an opportunity for him. He’s worked hard for it and I’m glad he’s grabbed it. However, it means that’s probably the last time I’ll visit FoxtrotAlpha. I spent 13 years in defense contracting. I came out of the deal well in the black, but I have no desire for a reprise. I admired Tyler’s ability to thoroughly cover the space, both bad and good, without resorting to sycophantic paeans to the business. Godspeed and good luck, Tyler. On the plus side, my productivity should notch up a bit with one less blog to follow.

That would be the least of what I saw, from all parties involved. There are no clean hands involved, by any actors at any level. I do think we did some actual good, but with the benefit of hindsight I’m in no way convinced it was at a positive balance.
